Tracera, the sustainability data platform where strategy-grade thinking meets audit-grade data, today announced that co-founder Sandeep Chand has been named chief executive officer.
As co-founder and chief technology officer, Chand has guided Tracera’s product and engineering since the company’s earliest days. He is the architect of the approach that defines the platform: every value traces back to its source document, missing data is chased automatically and the dashboard answers the question every board asks: Are we on track?

Chand steps into the role at a moment of momentum for the company. Since its $12 million Series A in April 2025, led by Foundry with participation from Rho Ignition, Tola Capital and Contour Venture Partners, Tracera has grown to track 4.6 billion kWh of energy data annually, with 92 percent of clients actively using the platform each month. It’s also a moment of key success as every client that has pursued limited assurance has achieved it.
About Sandeep Chand
Chand brings three decades of engineering and executive leadership to the role. Before Tracera, he served as chief technology officer at Caroo and Rocketrip and led engineering organizations at WorkStride and iCIMS. He holds an MBA in strategy, marketing and finance from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Delhi Institute of Technology (now NSUT).
